The Giants are bringing back their classic uniforms as throwbacks, and these beauties should be permanent threads

Step aside, Carolina Panthers black helmets. Sorry, Cincinnati Bengals, but the white helmets don’t compare.

The best uniform news of the 2022 NFL offseason is this: The New York Giants are bringing back their classic 80s/90s jerseys and helmets.

That’s right, the threads they wore to win a couple of Super Bowls, that we associate with Phil Simms, Mark Bavaro, Harry Carson, and, of course, Lawrence Taylor, are coming back.

The only twist? It’s just for two games. So as a lifelong Giants fan, I’m here to stump for this: Make it permanent. The mostly-blues of late have been solid if unspectacular. But these uniforms never get old and look gorgeous.
