BAFTA has announced the nominations for the BAFTA Cymru Awards, which celebrates talent across film and television in Wales. Dream Horse, a sports comedy-drama, leads the list with five nominations and is closely followed by BBC's In My Skin with four, and CODA, Grav, Mincemeat (On the Edge) and The Pact with three.
This year’s BAFTA Cymru Awards will be back in-person in Cardiff for the first time in two years, with 21 categories spanning craft, performance and production. The ceremony will also be available to watch on BAFTA's YouTube channel.
Presenter Alex Jones returns to host the special ceremony at St David’s Hall on Sunday, October 9, and will be joined by a host of stars to announce the winners on the night. She said of hosting the event: “Not only is it a real privilege and honour to be hosting the BAFTA Cymru Awards once again, but for it to be back this year as a live ceremony is just so exciting. There really is no better atmosphere in which to recognise and celebrate all of the amazing television and film being produced in Wales - huge congratulations to all of the nominees."
