Nigel Farage has announced he is resigning as an MP in order to trigger a by-election in his Clacton constituency, as part of an attempt to fend off mounting questions over his personal finances.
In a shock press conference this afternoon, he insisted he’s done “nothing wrong” and said he would be fighting the by-election in the constituency in order to give voters a chance to “stick two fingers up to the establishment”.
