The Football Manager 26 Stadium Pack Mod Has Been Released

Football Manager 26 is a game that relies on the community almost as much as it relies on the developers. Popular community mod creator BassyBoy has been working on a Stadium Megapack for months now, and the full release is finally out today. The pack features 120 stadiums from top European leagues, and even a couple from South America.

BassyBoy also added a custom crowd-made system, while also adding some clever optimizations for performance. Despite being an intensive community-made mod, it runs incredibly well, even on older stadiums. In the short time since the mod has been out, there haven’t been any reports of game-breaking bugs, corrupt saves, or crashes either. Not a bad start.

What To Expect From The Stadium Megapack

This project is nothing short of a “mammoth effort,” as the creator himself describes. BassyBoy is also responsible for a realistic newgen faces pack, which fixes some of the uncanny character models in FM 26. Here is the full breakdown of what is included in the initial V1 release:

  • A roster of 120 stadiums that focus on the top 5 European leagues. There are also stadiums from Portugal, the Netherlands, and Turkey.
  • The pack also features several iconic Argentinian and Brazilian grounds, including the Legia Warsaw stadium.
  • The mod uses a unique “Crowd Inject” system. Unlike the base game, it uses real-time attendance data from your save. For example, if you have a 50,000-seat stadium but only 20,000 fans show up, the stands will realistically show empty seats.
  • For players on lower-end systems, there are plenty of quality settings in the config files to ensure smooth performance.
  • You do not need to start a new career. The mod is fully compatible with existing FM26 saves. Even saves from FM23 and FM24 can carry over. However, it should be noted that the mod itself isn’t compatible with any past Football Manager titles, just FM26.

While the mod is a breakthrough for the Unity-based FM26 engine, there are a few compatibility hurdles to keep in mind. BassyBoy has confirmed that the mod will not work on MacBooks with Apple Silicon at this time, and support for the Steam Deck is currently considered experimental.
