The flat Swansea City player ratings in Luton Town loss as attacking pair need to deliver more

ANDY FISHER 6

On his first start for the club, Fisher didn't have a stop to make in the opening half and was generally good on the ball. Lucky escape with a clearance to Cornick before being beaten by the same man.

RYAN BENNETT 6

On his return to the starting line-up, Bennett made stacks of defensive interventions. Defensive shuffle occasionally brought on more pressure.

KYLE NAUGHTON 6

Good in possession and was starting to help influence proceedings before pulling up with an injury.

BEN CABANGO 6

One lapse in the first half aside, the Welshman defended well and got very high up to offer an additional option in possession.

CYRUS CHRISTIE - Star man 6

The January signing always carried a threat and set up Olivier Ntcham early on. So dangerous when running with the ball and is well aware of the picture around him. Already looking like a fine piece of transfer business.

FLYNN DOWNES 6

Brought some bite to the midfield on his return to the team, although he was booked early on. A lot of good play in possession before being subbed.

MATT GRIMES 6

The captain mopped things up defensively on multiple occasions and had some real periods of success through the middle when attacking. Did his best to create.

RYAN MANNING 6

Put in some dangerous crosses from the left and tried to link up with Hannes Wolf. Had to drop deeper after Naughton's injury though, but was defensively solid.

OLIVIER NTCHAM 5

The Frenchman almost opened the scoring after a slick attack in the ninth minute and shifted play from side to side well when needed. But there wasn't enough from the attacker in the final third, in truth.

HANNES WOLF 6

Always had a positive outlook and tried to make things happen, although his efforts didn't pay off in the final third in the first half. A lot of good play in the second half though and asked questions.

MICHAEL OBAFEMI 5

Handed a rare start, Obafemi very nearly poked Swansea ahead on 14 minutes following Grimes' sublime pass. Pace threatened to cause Luton problems, although the end product didn't come, despite the chances being there. Perhaps needs a run in the side to get up to full speed.

Subs

Korey Smith (for Naughton) - Typically good on the ball and defensively, but was frustrating in attack at times. 5

Joel Piroe (for Downes) - Had a header saved late on and tried to carry a threat. 6

Kyle Joseph (for Bennett) - Too late to make an impact. N/A
