The First Independent Ratings of GLP-1 Telehealth Companies Left Out Every Platform Selling Only Compounded Drugs

The first independent ratings of GLP-1 telehealth platforms arrived this week, with a design choice buried in the methodology that matters more to consumers than any individual score: every company selling only compounded weight-loss drugs was excluded from the analysis entirely.

U.S. News & World Report published its debut ratings for the 2026-2027 Best GLP-1 Telehealth Platforms on August 12, 2026. The evaluation covered 20 online platforms offering FDA-approved brand-name medications, including Wegovy, Zepbound, Ozempic, and Foundayo, drawing on 14,161 data points and a survey of 1,251 U.S. adults who had used a GLP-1 telehealth platform in the past year. Eleven platforms ultimately met the publication's standards.
