Democrat Maxwell Frost, the first Gen Z member to be elected to Congress, was reelected in Florida's 10th U.S. House District on Tuesday, claiming 61.8% of the vote and easily defeating his Republican challenger, Willie Montague.

"I'm honored to have been re-elected to serve another term in the United States Congress," said Frost through a post on his X account. "3 years ago, I set out to run for Congress in a large field. We defied the odds and not only won the race, but had a productive first term. Let's gooo!"

Montague, on the other hand, conceited defeat through his account on the same social media platform:

"Though the results weren't in my favor, I am deeply grateful for everyone who has supported me over the years! Let's keep moving forward—there is still so much work to be done! As I said before: If I win, Glory to God; if I lose, Glory to God."

During his first term, Frost emphasized his focus on gun violence prevention and securing funding for affordable housing. Among his achievements were the establishment of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention and funding initiatives aimed at affordable housing in areas like Eatonville and Bithlo, alongside plans for a new passport office in Orlando.

Frost said he'll work during his second term to pass legislation to address gun violence, help seniors during power outages and hurricanes, and address the housing crisis by reducing "junk" fees for renters, according to the Orlando Sentinel.

He was also an outspoken of policies put forward by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) against transgender and LGBTQ people, policies he has labeled "fascism." During an interview with CNN in early 2023, he said of DeSantis:

"He is abusing his power and using the state to target political opponents and political enemies. And there's a word for that, and it's fascism, and we have to be honest about it"
