The final season of Succession is here. Where are the key players at?

The final season of Succession is nigh!

So, who will be next in line to the Waystar Royco throne?

Let's have a look at where all the key players are at.

WARNING: Spoilers ahead for Succession up to and including the season three finale; spoiler-free for season four.

Will Tom's power move set him up as Logan's surprising successor?

Judas, Brutus and Tom Wambsgans.

Tom's act of ultimate betrayal at the end of season three — selling out his wife to his father-in-law — was next level.

It was also the ultimate power move that cemented his status as Logan Roy's right-hand man.

For now.

Logan showed his appreciation for Tom's loyalty, but does he have any more need for him?

And if Logan moves forward with his plan to sell off his media empire to the new tech giant, GoJo, it's unlikely that Tom will be offered a powerful seat at the new company's table.

Also, Shiv knows that Tom has betrayed her – but she doesn't let on.

She notices her father place his hand on her husband's shoulder as Tom walks towards her while her father walks away.

When Tom reaches her, she is visibly in shock – but only discloses her mother's act of betrayal.

If knowledge is power, this will likely work against him.

Or rather, Shiv will use this against him.

Is Logan still in the game?

In the season three finale, Connor reveals to Shiv and Roman that their dad has been adding maca root to his breakfast smoothies.

Maca root, of course, is known for boosting men's health — specifically, libido and fertility.

So, could the patriarch be hoping to start afresh with his new girlfriend and make a new Roy baby or two?

It's very unlikely, given his love of money, power, his company, and how he treats his adult children.

But you never know.

Are the Roy siblings stronger together?

In a season three twist that could rival Tom's betrayal, the Roy siblings – Kendall, Shiv and Roman – unite.

We're much more used to them bickering and shoving.

The trio band together to overthrow their father, prevent the merger, and run the company as equals.

Roman sums it up perfectly: "We do make a pretty good – puke – team."

But it was not to be.

Their mother betrays them, selling their supermajority to Logan.

Tom betrays Shiv by telling Logan the siblings' plan.

And Gerry betrays Roman by situating herself firmly in Logan's corner.

Nevertheless, they held the line and stuck together as they confronted their father.

Can the siblings come back from their defeat?

It's not impossible.

New alliances would have to form, and power would have to shift – but if they stick together, maybe.

Is Lukas the new Logan?

He could very well be.

By the end of season three, not only does the GoJo CEO convince Waystar Royco's ageing patriarch to abandon plans for a merger of equals – he gets Logan to sell.

This is where season four will likely pick up.

Does Logan go through with the sale and crown Lukas as the new king?

Or does the media mogul mastermind manage to hold onto power with a legal sleight of hand?

Also, the sale is beholden to a majority vote of Waystar's Board – so it's not necessarily a done deal.

Connor for president?

One thing we do know for sure from the season four trailer – Connor and Willa get hitched.

This comes after Willa accepts Connor's proposal with "F**k it!" and "Come on, how bad could it be?" in the season three finale.

Just another classic Roy family marriage.

But Connor still has political ambitions.

So, could he outsmart them all and become the next president of the United States?

One could argue that stranger things have actually happened in real life.

Will cousin Greg continue his charmed rise through the ranks?

Before Tom's treacherous act of betrayal, he appeals to Greg to stick around and be an "attack dog", or "Gregweiler".

Tom agrees to this deal with the devil: "What am I gonna do with a soul anyway?"

By what seems to be pure happenstance, Greg has ascended from being inside a Waystar Royco theme park mascot to the inner circle of the Roy family.

But he's not been without his troubles.

Will Greg stay with Tom for a chance to take the Roy throne or pursue his new love interest and become the next King – or Duchy – of Luxembourg?

Greg's incredulous rise through the Waystar Royco ranks has been the most delightful and terrifying plot line through the seasons. (Supplied: HBO/BINGE)

The final season of Succession premieres March 27 at 12pm AEDT on BINGE.
