The Gavin & Stacey Christmas special aired back in 2019 and saw the show return to the screen for the first time in almost exactly 10 years.
Before that special, the last time a new episode aired was the final instalment of the third series which drew an audience of 10.25m when it was screened on BBC One on January 1, 2010.
Almost a decade later, creators Ruth Jones and James Corden penned a new episode, working over FaceTime without telling anyone else about the project, which was filmed in Barry during summer 2019. And, of course, they left us with that gut-punch of a cliffhanger.
