The FIA has published its Formula 1 penalty system guidelines which breaks down the levels of penalties and points applied for each offence.
The document published is strictly a guideline, much like the F1 racing guideline released simultaneously on the eve of the Austrian Grand Prix, but provides insight into the guidance the FIA stewards get over what penalties are handed out and what each punishment includes.
