The Fever social media team trolled Diana Taurasi over Caitlin Clark quote after win over Mercury

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever finally got a victory against a team with a winning record on Sunday in an 88-82 victory against the Phoenix Suns.

It was a thrilling contest for both teams, one with multiple midcourt logo 3-pointers and some very wholesome interactions between Clark and Suns superstar Diana Taurasi.

However, the Fever social media team didn’t forget Taurasi’s comments this past April about Clark entering the WNBA. Taurasi said at the time “reality [was] coming” for Clark as she prepared for a transition to the pros.

Well, Indiana’s Twitter (X) account brought back that comment with a caption that read “reality check” while sharing the Fever’s winning score over the Mercury. Ouch.

While we’re sure Clark didn’t take much (if any) offense to the comment when it was made, the Fever social media team made sure to have some fun with it after Indiana’s huge road win against Phoenix.

We’re sure the Mercury will want to even the score in their next meeting, particularly after this snarky post.
