The Fast and the Farmer-ish: Urgent appeal for Scots farmers to apply for BBC's tractor challenge show

A popular tractor challenge show which has just been renewed for a second series is calling on farmers from across Scotland to apply to appear.

The first series of BBC Three's 'The Fast And The Farmer-ish', which is presented by youtuber and farmer Tom Pemberton, went down a storm (it's still available to watch on BBC Iplayer) and now the production company are set to begin filming a second series.

But the show, which sees tractor drivers and their machines are pushed to the limit in spectacular challenges designed to test skill, nerve, creativity and teamwork, needs more Scottish entrants.

Producers are looking to speak to tractor drivers (aged 18+) from across Scotland about taking part and representing their country.

Michael Burnett of Belfast-based TV company AlleyCats TV, who are behind the show, said: "While we received an incredible response for series one, we are keen to encourage a few more applications from Scottish tractor drivers for series two.

"For whatever reason, last series I don't think we managed to get the word out in Scotland, quite as well as we did elsewhere in the UK - and thats very much something that we would like to change as we head into series two!

"If you're mad about tractors and think you have what it takes to beat the competition, then we'd love to hear from you"

Anyone interested in taking part can email tractors@alleycats.tv for an application form and more information.
