Nicholas Pooran led MI Emirates to a thrilling five-wicket victory over Gulf Giants at the Dubai International Stadium on Friday in ILT20 Season 3. The skipper delivered a match-winning performance, remaining unbeaten on 58 off 37 balls and earning the Player of the Match award.
Chasing 71 runs in the final five overs, Pooran and Romario Shepherd turned the game around, finishing with five balls to spare. Reflecting on the chase, Pooran said, "Yeah, I guess it's all about faith, belief in yourself as well. I just felt like if we could put a partnership together, stay calm, understand what the guys are trying to do, and just execute our skills, we had a chance. Romario definitely came out, they did the departure end there, and it really helped me as well."
