Armed with a budget of quarter of a million pounds to hunt for a property, Wales can offer you a variety of homes and buildings to tempt you to part with your money.
Two terraced homes in the Rhondda Valleys could be an option - one for you, one for the rest of your family next door - or a three-bed semi-detached house in parts of Cardiff could be the new home for your buying budget.
Or you could splash out on a building that lives on the beach, literally built into the bottom of the cliff, that opens directly out onto the sand; but only your boat will be able to live there.

A boathouse on the seaward side of Abersoch Outer Harbour breakwater has been put on the market, described by the selling agent as a remarkable opportunity as the building is the only privately owned boathouse of its kind along this part of the coastline.
The agent suggests that the building, called The Boat House, which is built into the side of the cliff face was probably constructed around 1931 for the purpose of housing a small boat. The building is of brick and render construction with a pitch slate roof.
Inside, the building measures approximately 26 feet by 14 feet (about eight metres by four metres), and includes a timber-beamed mezzanine area to provide extra storage and make optimum use of the space.
The concrete slipway offers access onto the sandy beach, through the double iron gates, at low tide and straight into the sea at high tide.
The agent states that access to The Boat House from the roadway is down a slope into the harbour itself and along the pedestrian pathway to the breakwater or via steps onto the beach or by tractor at low water.
The Boat House is being marketed as 'of particular interest to boating enthusiasts' and could be the perfect place for all storage needs for anyone who has a range of water-based equipment.
The agent suggests the building on the beach is well positioned for a family to use as a base as they enjoy days spent on this stunning sandy shore. The backdrop of the magnificent Snowdonia mountain range combined with Cardigan Bay sea views ensure that Abersoch beach is one of Wales' most beautiful coastal locations.
Abersoch harbour and beach is one of the most popular coastal locations to visit in Wales, with its long stretch of sandy beach on the southeast-facing side of the Llyn Peninsula relatively sheltered. According to website Visit Wales, the beach is considered to be 'safe' with no severe currents or rips in normal conditions and a motor boat exclusion zone providing a secure area for bathers.
The beach and harbour were originally a fishing port but, especially during the summer months, the location is now a magnet for visitors who want a day at the seaside and is also renowned as a centre for sailing, surfing and watersports.
Facilities at the Blue Flag awarded beach include toilets and a beach café, with a range of shops and pubs in the village, plus a slipway for boats, but the new owner of The Boat House won't have to worry about using that facility as the building has its own.
The wide, four-mile long beach is also home to a collection of colourful beach huts, some of which can be rented, which also command a high purchase price in the rare event that they are put on the market. In 2021 one of the huts was for sale for £175,000 - find out more about that here.
The Boat House is a freehold property and is currently for sale for offers over £250,000 with Beresford Adams, call the Abersoch branch on 01758 580061 to find out more.
