Emmerdale's Paul Riordan is a director who has worked on eight episodes of the ITV soap since 2020. He has also directed episodes of Casualty, All at Sea and 6Degrees.
He first started out as an assistant director, Paul’s first big break was on Channel 4’s Hollyoaks in 2007. He later went on to become one of the show’s senior directors, tasked with shooting a number of its major episodes before moving on to Emmerdale.
And it seems talent runs in the family as Paul's son, Jude Riordan, stars in rival soap Coronation Street as Sam Blakeman, the son of Nick Tilsley and Natasha Blakeman.
