The Edinburgh streets being closed off for the Queen's jubilee street parties

Four days of celebrations to mark Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee are set to get underway in the capital.

The City of Edinburgh Council has spent £30,000 to commemorate the Queen's 70-year reign, with £10k allocated to the council's own events and £20k distributed to community groups throughout Edinburgh.

It has received 32 street party applications ahead of the extended bank holiday weekend.
