The Cleveland Browns are getting a massive boost as they look to return to their winning way from a year ago as All-Pro running back Nick Chubb is nearing his return.
He is to have his practice window opened up by the Browns after a Week 2 devastating knee injury in 2023; this is the first step toward returning to the field after being placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list to start the season. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Browns will do just that.
This means the Browns then have three weeks to activate Chubb off of the PUP list and place him onto their 53-man roster. If the Browns do not activate Chubb in this window, then he will have to remain out for the entirety of the season.
The Browns have not been able to build a stable run game since the injury to Nick Chubb over a year ago. It has been painful to watch. As the Browns continue to try and figure out what is going on offensively, getting Chubb back will be an invaluable lift.
