The Crown's actors have been photographed filming for the new series of the controversial Netflix series ahead of the release of the new season, expected to be take place later this year.
Stars including Imelda Staunton, who plays the late Queen Elizabeth II, and Bertie Carvel, who has undertaken the role of former Prime Minister Tony Blair, were snapped in character at the Winchester Cathedral in Hampshire.
The group were understood to be filming scenes for the Queen Mother's funeral – which took place in 2002.
Meanwhile, a new actor was amongst the group as Luther Ford has been cast to play a teenage Prince Harry in the new series, the Mirror can exclusively reveal.
Young actor Luther, whose casting was confirmed to the Mirror by Netflix, is yet to be pictured in his new role but a Prince Harry lookalike has been spotted on set.
The young red headed actor was photographed wearing a black tuxedo jacket, black waistcoat and tie with a white shirt. The Crown extra had a pair of relaxed fit grey and black striped trousers on, which were incredibly similar to the trousers the young Duke of Sussex wore on the day he paid his respects to the Queen Mother.
However, the young extra's hair is styled down in the shot, while Harry sported a spikey 'do on the day.
Luther has yet to be photographed filming scenes for the upcoming sixth series of the Netflix hit, as the identity of who would be playing the Duke of Sussex has been kept hidden – until now.
Meanwhile, Imelda, 67, was seen dressed in a black hat and coat while crew held an umbrella of the same colour over her head while she stood nearby a car.
The actress' attire as the Queen would be fitting for a funeral and the hat sported by Imelda, which had a large black strap around the middle with black feathers fastened to one side, was very similar to the same accessory worn by the late monarch at her mother's funeral on April 9 2002.
Meanwhile, 45-year-old Bertie was photographed wearing a dark blue suit with a white shirt and red tie – which was a signature of Blair's as the leader of the labour party.
He added a grey and black padded coat on top of the suit as he was captured outside the Cathedral. Bertie's costume as Blair was very different to the black suit and tie the former Labour leader wore to the Queen Mother's funeral, which was held at Westminster Abbey as she was laid to rest.
Other photos of the filming location saw more actors dressed head-to-toe in black while they wrapped up from the freezing January temperature.
Actors were seen with wooly hats, scarves and blankets draped over their pristine costumes while an actor who is playing a priest in the funeral scenes had a parka jacket over his religious robes.
And crew were seen hauling large filming equipment in front of the cathedral.
The release of the new series is yet to be confirmed. But, Netflix has confirmed the series will be the show's last.
The original plan was that The Crown would come to an end after season five but the show's creator, Peter Morgan, changed his mind in 2020.
In an official Netflix statement, he said: "As we started to discuss the storylines for series five, it soon became clear that in order to do justice to the richness and complexity of the story we should go back to the original plan and do six seasons."
