The Crown filming has resumed following the death of Her Majesty The Queen.
Production on the sixth and final series was paused for one day after the tragic death of Queen Elizabeth II on Thursday (September 8).
Taking place in Barcelona, Netflix bosses halted filming for just one day when the monarch passed away – with another break planned for her funeral.
Pictures show the moment Elizabeth Debicki, who is taking on the role of Princess Diana, got back in front of the cameras as production continued.
Wearing a pink shirt while carrying a big bouquet of flowers, Elizabeth is said to be recreating Diana's look from her Bosnia visit to promote the Landmine Survivors Network.
During Diana's actual visit, she spoke for 45 minutes with Franjo Kresic, a former soldier who lost his leg in a mine blast, according to the BBC.
On Friday, producers of The Crown announced their brief pause after the news of Her Majesty's passing was announced by Buckingham Palace.
A spokesperson for Netflix said: "As a mark of respect, filming on The Crown was suspended today. Filming will also be suspended on the day of Her Majesty The Queen's funeral."
Stephen Daldry, who directed very early episodes, has always said – when the show first aired – that production would halt as a mark of respect.
Speaking in 2016 he said: "None of us know when that time will come but it would be right and proper to show respect to the Queen."
"It would be a simple tribute and a mark of respect. She’s a global figure and it’s what we should do," he said after The Crown made its debut on Netflix.
Creator of The Crown Peter Morgan, who also wrote the 2006 film The Queen starring Helen Mirren, told Deadline that he expected production to "stop filming out of respect" for a period of time.
The American publication reports him writing in the wake of the Queen's death: "The Crown is a love letter to her and I’ve nothing to add for now, just silence and respect.
"I expect we will stop filming out of respect too."
The fifth series had been scheduled to air in November this year but following the death of Queen Elizabeth II, it's not yet known if the proposed premiere will still go ahead later this year.
Actress Claire Foy was the first to portray the late monarch in the first two series of The Crown - going on to win the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 2018.
She was succeeded by Olivia Colman in series three and four, who won the Golden Globe Award and Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work on the show.
