Rustic, cosy and oh-so idyllic, this quaint wooden cottage in Llandrindod Wells makes for the perfect winter escape for a weekend of long, crisp walks and hot chocolates next to the fire - can you think of anything more dreamy as the winter months draw in?
Coety Bach looks, from the outside, like it has come straight out of a Hollywood Christmas romcom thanks to its floor to ceiling wooden features throughout the log cabin - both inside and out - and is the utlimate private sanctuary with stunning views of the hills.
While the cottage itself is simply gorgeous, use the large veranda, which comes complete with a comfy two-seater bench, to acquaint yourself with the surrounding scenery in the day before gazing up at the millions of stars as the night draws in.

Decorated with handcrafted wood, the abode, which sleeps two, features a king-sized bed that has been perfectly fitted in one of the cottage's nooks and is nestled below a beautiful stained glass window.
Despite being in the middle of the Welsh countryside, you won't have to worry about bringing layers and layers - for the inside at least - as the cottage has central heating and a glorious log burner that will warm the cockles of your heart and get your toes feeling toasty again after a day out frolicking in the flora and fauna of Llandridod Wells.
The kitchen is fully furnished - and handcrafted from pallet wood. It boasts a gas hob, electric fan oven, fridge freezer and microwave. Just over the kitchen counter, you will find a circular dining table and a lovely and plush leather sofa opposite the log burner on which to flop down and cwtch up, hibernating from the elements.
The bathroom boasts a corner bath with overhead shower which allows you to immerse yourself in nature as it is situated outside. You can indulge in the ultimate relaxation sesssion too as essential oils and bath salts are provided - oh yes.
As previously mentioned, there is a gorgeous open veranda on which to enjoy your morning coffee as you gaze out over the rolling Welsh hills whilst taking deep breaths of clean country air.
When you can tear yourself away from this wooden idyllic paradise, the nearby villages of Penybont and Llandrindod Wells offer up a whole host of activities to indulge in. Visit the Severn Arms Pub or visit Llandrindod Lake and Rock Park and Abbey Cwm Hir Manor. For a forest folly, pay Radnor forest, once a royal hunting ground, a visit and marvel at the vista where you can spot Cader Idris and Snowdonia, the Malvern Hills and the Brecon Beacons.
It is dog friendly, so pooch pals are more than welcome. Prices range from £110 - £190 per night. For more information on this stay, see Cool Stays' website.
