In just under a week, voters from across the region will cast their ballots for their preferred local council candidates on May 4.
Many have already opted to participate via a postal vote and some have chosen to vote by proxy. However, scores cannot resist the option to take a trip to their polling station and vote in person at their allocated polling station.
Polling stations will be open from 7am until 10pm on the day. It is important to remember that if you have joined a queue to vote before 10pm, you are still entitled to cast your ballot.
