Bright colors and bold patterns are pretty much Christopher John Rogers' signature. A vast majority of the CFDA-award winning American designer's collections feature true statement pieces designed to make sure the wearer stands out in even the most fashionable crowds. Now he's bringing that same energy to J.Crew for a new divine collaboration.
Christopher John Rogers x J.Crew is an exclusive offering filled with pieces made to be mixed and matched. The fabrics are pretty luxe, including brushed cashmere, multistripe chiffon and even gold lamé. But wait, there's more. The designer also reinvented J.Crew icons resulting in embellished fleece hoodies, terrific tote bags and a couple of baseball caps thrown in for good measure.
"My brand is about providing people with the tools to express themselves through color, through print, through volume," the designer elaborates. "Both J.Crew and CJR are carving out this liminal space between something really declarative and high octane and something ostensibly wearable. I think that's why the collaboration felt so easy and fun—because it just felt natural."
Our personal favorites? Well, that's pretty much the entire collection. Although, if we have to choose, we have to admit that we're partial to the golden barn jacket, the patterned three-piece dot duchesse satin set and the slim-fit vest. The collaboration also has party season covered with an array of sparkling separates.
