When it comes to the taps in the home, limescale can be a proper pain - and it takes a lot of work to get rid of the grimy stuff.
However, you can forget the expensive cleaning solutions and 'hard-hitting' stain removers, as one cheap and simple hack has it covered.
One woman has revealed a simple and cheap trick on how you can remove grime and limescale from your taps, just by using a one pence coin. The Mrs Hinch fan took to TikTok to share her very own cleaning hack, and it seemingly does work.
She posted a clip of the state of her brass taps when she moved into her new home. The previous homeowner had let the stains grow after neglecting to clean the limescale - leaving the taps encrusted and blackened with the grimy stuff.
The TikTok user said: "They are awful. Embarrassingly awful. I tried all the different lotions and potions and all the different chemicals and I thought they were beyond saving."
In a final attempt to remove the stains, the woman decided to give the ever-popular one pence trick a shot.
She said: "Tonight however, I thought I'd give the magic 2p trick. BOOM."
Posting a clip of the now-clean tap, the woman shared that she had just chipped away at the grime with a one pence coin.
The best part is, you don't need to use a single cleaning product to loosen up the dirt.
The video left TikTok users in shock, and desperate to give the hack a go.
