A Welsh postcode is among one of the cheapest postcodes to buy a house in the UK, a new study claims. Ferndale in Rhondda Cynon Taf is among the top 10 least expensive postcodes in the UK, study by estate agent comparison site, GetAgent claims.
Excluding London the study looked at the average asking price for postcodes across the UK and listed the 20 cheapest. Ferndale comes in at ninth place on the list and is the only Welsh postcode to appear on the list of 20 places.
The average asking price for the CF43 area last year was £96,757, according to the study. Ferndale has regularly appeared on lists of property hotspots in Wales as a place to find a bargain. In 2021 it came second on a list of ten places in the UK with the cheapest property price per square metre. Sign up to our Amazing Homes newsletter here.
