The cheapest locations to buy fuel in Northern Ireland are in Co Tyrone.
The price of petrol and diesel is now nearly 50p cheaper per litre than it was at this time last year with June 2022 seeing significant increases with prices increasing by 20p over the course of the month.
According to the Consumer Council the average price of petrol per litre is now 139.5p and 137.4p for diesel.

Currently the cheapest places in Northern Ireland to buy petrol are Omagh and Dungannon where the average price per litre is 136.4p. This is followed by Cookstown where it is 136.8p per litre and Coleraine, Co Derry, where it is 137.2p.
The most expensive place to buy petrol is Newry where it is 145.9p per litre on average followed by Downpatrick where it is 143.9p.
The average price in Belfast is 139.9p per litre.
The cheapest place to buy diesel in Northern Ireland is Dungannon where it is 131.9p per litre on average followed by Cookstown where it is 132.8p and Armagh where it is 135.6p.
The most expensive place to buy diesel is Downpatrick where it is 140.9p per litre on average followed by Newtownards where it is 140.8p and Derry where it is 140.6p.
The average price of diesel in Belfast is 136.9p.
