The cheapest Edinburgh petrol stations as fuel prices begin to fall

Drivers across Scotland have started to see lower prices at the pumps as the cost of petrol and diesel has been slowly falling from record-highs.

The latest figures from the motoring group The RAC has shown that the cost of unleaded has fallen to 176p per litre, while the cost of diesel has fallen down to 187p per litre. It will come as welcome news to drivers across Scotland who have been hit with soaring costs at the fuel pumps during the ongoing cost of living crisis.

It also follows the news that wholesale prices have also started to fall, with The RAC saying that wholesale petrol prices had fallen by 20p in July.

Despite wholesale prices decreasing, major retailers across the country found themselves facing criticism for not acting fast enough and dropping their prices by just 9p at the pumps.
