The ones on the pricer end of the spectrum are truly stunning, but you may be surprised what as little as £100,000 could get you in the capital.
Here's a rundown of the five cheapest and five most expensive homes we could find that have been sold this year.
The cheapest Edinburgh homes sold so far this year

3. 9/2, Calder Drive, Edinburgh, Mid EH11 4LN
Price sold for: £105,000
Looks can be deceiving, and while this two-bedroom Sighthill flat might not be all that bonny from the outside it has plenty to offer.
A little work could go a long way with this property, and a lick of paint could potentially see the value soar.
Either way, from personal experience, it's hard to find an Edinburgh flat that comes with a bath — particularly at that price.

2. 38/5, Calder Gardens, Edinburgh, Mid EH11 4LE
Price sold for: £105,000
