The Chase's Mark Labbett has spoken out for the first time after going public with his new TV presenter girlfriend Hayley Palmer. Nicknamed 'The Beast' on the ITV quiz show, he was previously married to his second cousin, with whom he has a child.
Speaking to Mirror, Mark, 57, was asked if he spends time doing quizzes with his new TV presenter girlfriend. He replied: "I'm on the road so much, plus the little matter of a six-year-old boy that I co-parent with, so I try to spend as much time as I can with him.
"I'm going out to film in America next month, and I'm already planning what I'm doing in July and August with Katie to see what weeks work." But according to the publication, a source previously confirmed it's "early days" for the Mark and Hayley, but they are having a "lot of fun together".
The TV star lost a whopping 10 stone after changing his lifestyle and showed off the results in a recent loved-up snap with Hayley Palmer, 41. Taking to his Instagram Story, he posted a selfie of the couple on a wind-swept beach in Southsea, Portsmouth.
"At Southsea, oh I do like to be beside the seaside. Fish and chips followed by ice cream. Simple pleasures @hayleypalmer_presenter," he wrote.
Hayley is a TV presenter who can be seen on GB News as a showbiz correspondent and has previously featured on ITV and regional BBC radio stations. It is thought the two met through her TV work, with Mark "wooing" her over a string of dates, according to reports.
Hayley, who is 16 years Mark's junior, regularly posts stories of the duo on Instagram and jokes of 'having to wear high-heels at all times' when next to her 6ft 6inches partner.
Mark ended his marriage with Kate in 2020 after six years of marriage, blaming their 27-year age gap and Coronavirus lockdowns for their issues. Towards to end of the marriage, the pair were reportedly in an open relationship as Mark attempted anything to make it work.
