The Chase star Bradley Walsh is set to become on the hosts of the reboot of Gladiators, according to national reports. The former actor is set to be confirmed as fronting the new BBC series of the show, according to the Sun.
"Since we started accepting bets, the Chase host has demonstrated that he possesses the enthusiasm necessary to serve as the show's face," John Hill, from bookmakers Coral, agreed.
The BBC announced earlier this year that the series would return for an 11-episode run in 2023. It is reportedly being filmed at the Utilita Arena in Sheffield this year.
The original, which ran from 1992 to 2000, was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson and John Fashanu. The series had previously been revived by Sky in 2008, with Ian Wright and Kirsty Gallacher serving as its hosts, but it had ended by 2009.
