Bradley Walsh aimed a savage dig at BBC rival Pointless as she addressed a contestant on Wednesday's edition of The Chase.
With them both well established staples of the team time schedule, The Chase and Pointless have been going head to head in the ratings for years now, with each programme having a loyal fanbase, as many viewers react to each new episode on Twitter.
And that's exactly what happened when Bradley mentioned pointless during a conversation with a player as she outlined what shed' spent her prize money on if she won. Primary school teacher Holly told Bradley that she'd put the cash towards a house deposit or buy a Mulberry handbag," but swiftly dismissing the latter: "You are on The Chase, not Pointless. Let’s dream big"," in a clear nod to the fact the potential prize money on the ITV show are substantially higher than its BBC opponent.

To advance through to the final round, Holy had to beat the quizzing force to be reckoned with, The Governess and, taking just as harsh a stance asd ITV colleague Bradley, she told her: "Your plans for a new bag are about to be scuppered by an old bag!"
Bradley's jibe at pointless' expense came just days after he was on the receiving end of a put down made by Chaser Paul Sinha. The formidable quizzer, known to millions as The Sinnerman was talking to celeb contestant, music maestro and ex I'm A Celebrity star Naughty Boy, when he remarked: ""The best music producers can make anyone sound amazing," before sticking the knife in and adding: "If anyone knows that it's Bradley."
The Chaser was alluding to Bradley's rather shirt-lived career as a chart star, which actually saw him score the biggest selling album by a UK artist in 2016 with his record Chasing Dreams, following it up a year later with second LP When You're Smiling.
