The Chase's Bradley Walsh can't contain laughter as he reads 'rude' sounding answers

The Chase host Bradley Walsh struggled to keep his composure as he read aloud 'rude' sounding answers to a question.

Bradley Walsh welcomed another round of hopeful contestants as they attempt to take on the chaser. One hopeful was Nick from Hull who had to take on 'The Governess' Anne Hegerty.

Playing a strong game, Nick took back a total of £5,000 to his team. He denied both the higher and lower offers which sat at £31,000 and £1,000 respectively.

But it was Nick's final question that host Bradley struggled to keep composure over. He asked: "The breakfast food known as 'tattie scones' go by what name in Ireland?"

The answers consisted of 'fadge', 'menge' and 'clonge'. Clearly taken back by the cheeky sounding words, Bradley fought back laughter as did the chaser Anne.

Despite correctly guessing 'fadge', Bradley wasn't able to move past the question quite yet. He jokingly said: "That's what you want for breakfast, a touch of fadge."

Viewers also found the question humorous as some tweeted their disbelief at the terms. One user said: "Cracking up with this question just now on #TheChase." Another said: I’m laughing so much at that #thechase"

The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
