The Chase's Anne Hegerty unrecognisable after super glam makeover for Australian TV

The Chase star Anne Hegerty looked out of this world as she debuted her glamorous new look while filming in Sydney, Australia.

Looking worlds away from her stern-faced Governess character on the ITV quiz show, Anne was in high spirits as she beamed and waved at waiting cameras while leaving the studios of Channel 7 this week.

Her short locks were blow-dried to perfection and she rocked bright red lipstick and a face full of makeup as she made her way out of the vicinity.

Anne completed the look with hoop earrings and a loose-fitting blue top.

She paired the top with loose black trousers and black high heels as she stopped to pose for the camera.

Anne seemed in good spirits as she carried her purse and walked on the pavement after filming at the studio.

The star is known for her serious look on The Chase where she wears grey or black suits as she quickly answers questions.

The ITV brainbox has starred in several quiz shows and spin-offs as well as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!

Anne has been open about her personal life and previously opened up about the traits she looks for in a man.

During a chat with the Loose Women panellists, she explained her ideal partner.

"It would have to be someone who was intelligent of facts and reading books," she said.

"It might not be a problem if he wasn't necessarily into quizzing as long as he understood I was into quizzing."

On the talk show, she also shut down any rumours that she is gay, revealing: "Most of my fans are older women and I think some of them are hoping that I'm a lesbian. I have to sort of let them down gently."

The former journalist has been asked multiple times about her sexuality and responded to one fan with a story about her ex-boyfriend.

"I did use to have a Californian boyfriend whose mother was a DAR. Naturally, he was pro-immigration!" she said.

The brainbox once told the Mirror that she believes being single is freeing and she enjoys feeling "isolated".

"It's brilliant. I really don't feel I'm missing out on relationships. I'm doing fine," she said. "I still get attracted to people, but there's no point in pursuing it."
