The Chase's Anne Hegerty spills on Bradley Walsh's most annoying habit

Anne Hegerty has opened up on Bradley Walsh's most annoying trait while they film hit quiz show The Chase.

The popular ITV show has been on screen since 2009 with Bradley taking up the hosting duties since day one. Anne joined a year later following impressive performances on shows such as Mastermind and Fifteen to One.

Nicknamed The Governess, Anne, 64, has gone on to break many hearts with her quiz guru status, catching many hopefuls before they got their mitts on the cash prize on offer.

Now, after 12 years working together, Anne has revealed host Bradley can sometimes make long filming days longer due to his constant chattiness.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Anne said: "He sometimes has the tendency to chat on and on and on with contestants and we're sitting down at the bottom with The Chase's producer, who doubles as the show's editor, and he's like 'for goodness sake, Brad! This is all coming out' and makes snip gestures."

And The Vixen, Jenny Ryan, also revealed the Chasers have their own private WhatsApp group which Bradley isn't a part of. She told the publication: "We have the Chasers group chat, which no Bradley isn't in, we'd drive him up the wall and he'd drive us up the wall.

Despite his constant chatting, Anne admits she wouldn't want anyone else to host the show. She confessed to Metro it's "impossible to imagine" anyone else asking the questions.

The star's response came after the show's spin-off series, Beat The Chasers, were awarded the Best Quiz Game Show Award at the National Television Awards.

The programme's win was announced by Anneka Rice, but not before she'd made an awkward blunder. Viewers and audience members alike were left scratching their heads for a moment as to who the correct victor for the category was after the 64-year-old presenter made her own Oscars-style error.

She mistakenly called out The 1% Club as this year's winner of the category instead of just naming them as a nominee.

She declared: "The 1% Club!" before realising she had read out a nominee and quickly clarified: "No!"

In a bid to quickly get over her error, she rushed out the rest of the nominees before the cast of Beat The Chasers were correctly called up to the stage.

The mishap appeared to have caught Bradley by surprise as his confused reaction was caught on film before he made his way to the stage.
