The Chase host Bradley Walsh recalls awkward brush with Italian police on holiday

Bradley Walsh has revealed an awkward encounter with foreign police, during a holiday visit to Venice, Italy.

The host of ITV's The Chase has returned to his usual duties on the latest instalment of the gameshow, and as contestant Nicola took her spot at the podium to face off with Chaser Paul Sinha - AKA The Sinnerman - a fumbled question about Italy sparked the bizarre confession.

Nicola was quizzed about the Doge's Palace in Venice, which unfortunately led to her being booted off the show after yet another wrong answer was given.

And The Daily Star reports that following the question, Bradley made a stunning confession in admitting that police had confronted him when he visited the very same landmark. He asked Paul: “Have you been to the Doge’s Palace?” with Paul recounting various visits to the 'incredible city'.

Bradley, replied: "Yeah the Doge’s Palace is really incredible. I got shouted at for taking a photo. I had the old camera out and I go ‘oh this place is lovely and I get - right from the outside – ‘SCUZZI SCUZZI!!’ I went ‘yeah??’ he went “NO NO NO.”

The official Facebook page for the show even went on to comment on the confession, saying: “Brad’s life of crime in Italian palaces isn’t picture perfect.” This comes after Paul himself recently made a stunning revelation to Bradley on a recent episode, when a question about colours arose.

Bradley asked the player and the Chaser to answer a question about the Wallace and Gromit film called The Wrong Trousers, tasking them with clarifying what colour rubber glove Feathers McGraw uses to disguise himself. The contestant confidently pressed 'red' telling of how she had 'seen the film many times' so was sure in her answer.

Bradley then revealed the answer on the screen and it was indeed red, but Paul had gone wrong with yellow. Paul, admitted: "You know me, even if it was my favourite film I wouldn't know the answer to that question." Bradley questioned: "You're not colour blind, are you?"

Paul then responded: "I'm not colour blind, I can see colours. I can't visualise colours in my head. I can see that lovely purple tie, but tomorrow, if I had to try and visualise what his tie looked like, I wouldn't be able to visualise it."
