Fans of ITV's The Chase were left disappointed on Tuesday when they tuned in to see the latest edition of the popular quiz show.
Each weekday at 5pm, Bradley Walsh hosts as four members of the public who have never met before form a team to take on one of Britain's biggest brains in the hopes of winning some cash. But on Tuesday (September 6), no episode began at 5pm.
The ITV programme was due to air according to listings, but it was significantly delayed due to coverage of the new Prime Minister Liz Truss arriving at Downing Street. Many viewers at home were left disappointed by the schedule shakeup.

Some fans even said ITV had "gone too far". Taking to Twitter, Anthony James said: "Not a great start to the Liz Truss reign. Deliberately taking her time so #TheChase is cancelled".
Gregory said: "Why didn't they just switch to ITV2?", while Matt said: "As if we're missing The Chase for this b*******". Margaret Gray said: "They've gone too far this time".
Beckie Miller said: "The Chase is cancelled then? There will be riots [cry-laughing emoji]". Ben said: "ITV, it's 5:01, put The Chase on". Dave Mackay said: "Thanks @trussliz for getting The Chase cancelled, really appreciate it x"
The Chase finally began at around 5.25pm.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV and the ITV Hub
