The Chase viewers were left screaming at their TV screens as the final chase was a bit of a disaster.
Fans of the ITV show watched on as Scots contestant Russell from North Lanarkshire joined his team mates to take on Anne Hegerty in a bid to take home £14,000. However, prior to the final chase, the contestants took to the table to secure their potential prize funds, with all contestants opting for the middle option.
Daren was the first contestant to take on Anne Hegerty, but after getting a few questions wrong, he was knocked out by the Governess and sent home. Beka from Nottingham was next to take on the Chaser and she brought back £3000 to the team.
Contestant Carole then told host Bradley that she wanted to win the money to take her husband Edward on a cruise.
She managed to bring back £5000 to the team. And last up to take on the Governess was Russell from North Lanarkshire. He said his hobbies included playing the flute.
Russell said if he won he would love to buy a caravan. He managed to bring back £6000 to join the other two in the final chase.
However, despite gathering a three step head start the trio only managed to get 11 questions correct in the cash builder, after stumbling and having various long pauses.
The team managed to secure one push back but it still wasn't enough as the Governess was on top form and caught them with 54 seconds to go.
And fans took to Twitter to say they were frustrated by the cash builder. One wrote: "No point the chaser in coming out. #TheChase."
Another added: "8 correct answers in 2 minutes between 3 people.. impressive #TheChase."
While one penned: "This is painful #thechase."
Another wrote: "Car crash."
One commented: "Not a great score tbh, slow and wrong guesses #thechase."
