The Chase fans joke as Bradley Walsh welcomes famous names

The Chase viewers caught what appeared to be a celebrity line-up on today's show.

Bradley Walsh was back on top form as he welcomed yet another panel of contestants hoping to win a huge cash prize. Taking them on in today's show was Shaun ' The Dark Destroyer' Wallace.

The quiz show was quickly flipped on its head due to an impromptu 'celebrity lineup'. Viewers at home and Bradley were left stunned after realising today's contestants had something special about them.

Reading from left to right, today's group was named Elton, John, Georgie and Michael. Sharing the names of two of music's biggest stars, Bradley joked maybe it will be a musical episode.

Viewers also found the coincidence entertaining, taking to Twitter to share jokes and their disbelief at the line-up. One viewer said: "The Chase at it again with their names hahahaha - Elton John & George Michael #TheChase."

Another comment said: "#thechase I laughed slightly when I saw the names of the contestants today, starting with Elton. It's a little bit funny." Another viewer added: "Wonder if Elton and John will be like a candle in the wind or say goodbye to the yellow brick road ok I’m done #thechase".

The daily hashtag for the show was filled with gifs and videos referencing the two musicians. For the remainder of today's programme, Bradley made sure to get a musical quip in wherever he could as he revelled in the unlikely situation.
