If there's one thing that's almost guaranteed to infuriate fans of ITV's The Chase, it's if a contestant takes the low offer. And that was no different this evening.
Fans of the popular quiz show hosted by Bradley Walsh were beside themselves when contestant Jas opted to go for the lower £1,000 offered to her by chaser Anne Hegerty, despite also being offered £4,000 and £54,000 options.
The chaser said it was a "sensible option" and Walsh said it was a "good decision", but loyal followers of the show made no bones about what they thought of the decision. Discussing the decision on Twitter, one wrote said "low offer thief".

Many appeared to know what was coming when she went for the lesser amount. One wrote: "Low offer = logs into Twitter." Fans of chaser Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis were delighted to see his return to the show yesterday, after becoming increasingly disgruntled at his lack of appearances on the show. Jas made it through to the final chase as one of only two contestants to have made it through, amassing 16 correct answers, but Anne dispatched the pair with 35 seconds remaining.
