The Chase contestant sparks debate with 'cheating' accessory

A contestant on The Chase has sparked a debate as she appeared on the ITV show with an unusual accessory. Viewers were quick to question what she was wearing and were concerned she was 'cheating'.

The daytime programme saw four new players - Jenni, Hamish, Francesca and Mark - join presenter Bradley Walsh to take on the chaser. The group took on Mark Labbett in the hopes of going home from the ITV show with a cash prize.

The Echo reports 33-year-old Jenni was the first to take on the chaser. She told Bradley she would spend the winning money on a trip to Australia if she was successful.

However, viewers were distracted by her necklace. Viewers took to Twitter to question what the player was wearing around her neck. She had a necklace with a thin chain but a bulky, red pendant.

The fans at home couldn't quite make out what it was and many asked the same question on the social media platform, with one even saying it looked like a "TK Maxx card". Meanwhile others suggested it could be a typewriter or even a packet of needles.

Danny said: "Does she have a 'typewriter' necklace? #TheChase." Graham said: "Looks like a circuit board necklace #TheChase" Another user said: "What’s that necklace? Or is it a TK Maxx card #TheChase".

Mr Chambers said: "Jenny’s cheating - that’s a memory card around her necks… #TheChase" One user said: "Is it a typewriter??" Marilyn said: "I thought it was a packet of needles."
