A contestant on The Chase has sadly died following her appearance on the television show.
After the episode aired, Debbie's husband announced the sad update telling viewers it was filmed before lockdown and her cancer had sadly returned which spread to her bones and her brain.
In a message after the episode aired, her husband wrote: "Debbie, who was on The Chase on [Wednesday] and who Sean flirted with sadly lost her 17 year battle with cancer last week, reports the Mirror.

"She was my beautiful wife and it was tough to see but at the same time lovely to see her how she was."
He continued: "It was filmed about three years ago. She was one of the last to be filmed before lockdown. She had breast cancer 14 years before this that had been away for a number of years, but about a year after she filmed this it came back in her bones and then in her brain."
The episode, which aired as a repeat, saw Debbie go up against Shaun Wallace, also known as the Dark Destroyer, with the help of teammates Helen Inaam and George.
During her cash builder round, Debbie secured an impressive £5,000 with the Dark Destroyer cheekily flirting with the STV quiz show contestant.
"Hello Debbie," The Dark Destroyer remarked as host Bradley Walsh hit out: "What was that!"
"Hello Shaun," the quizzer replied before turning to the host and added: "See I wasn't being flirty, was I?"
Bradley answered: "Well I don't know about that," before continuing on with the show.
The Dark Destroyer quickly rushed to Debbie's defence and denied she was "flirting" with him.
Sadly Debbie did not make it to the final round however after being caught by the Chaser himself.
Our thoughts are with Debbie's friends and family.
The Chase airs on ITV on weekdays at 5pm.
