Cardiff City striker Kieffer Moore is losing his race to be fit for the Severnside derby with Bristol City this weekend, Steve Morison has confirmed.
The Wales forward has been out of action since he hobbled off with an ankle injury in the defeat by Bournemouth on December 30.
It was hoped he might be back for the clash with the Robins, but this weekend has come a little too soon for him after only one day of full training under his belt.
Morison said of the forward: "He hurt his ankle at Bournemouth.
"He then got Covid a couple of days after he came back from there. So he was then off for 10 days so that put him back a little bit.
"His first day on the grass was yesterday, but this weekend will come too soon for him."

In better news, Morison confirmed that Max Watters is available for this weekend.
The forward was brought back from his loan spell at MK Dons at the beginning of the month and was just carrying an injury which has kept him sidelined since.
But after a few good weeks of training under his belt, the forward is in contention to start this weekend.
"He has been back training with us this week and he has looked really sharp," Collins said of his fellow striker.
"He has got a good eye for goal and he will certainly be another threat we can use in the back end of the season."
Meanwhile, new signing Tommy Doyle will also be available for Cardiff. He trained with the squad while waiting for his move to be signed off and appears to be up to speed, which will be a big boost for the Bluebirds.
