The Cardiff Bay Barrage is to close for a Liam Gallagher concert and some people aren't at all happy

Cardiff Bay Barrage will close ahead of Liam Gallagher's outdoor gig later this month, Cardiff Council has said. The Oasis frontman is bringing his solo tour to the city, with a performance at Alexandra Head.

He will be supported by '90s indie band The Charlatans for the performance on Thursday, September 15. Doors will open for the Cardiff Bay gig from 4pm, with the venue being located just off the Cardiff Bay trail near the sailing centre.

Cardiff Council has announced that the Cardiff Bay Barrage will close for eight hours that day for the concert, from 3pm to approximately 11.30pm. The council has said that boats will still be able to enter and exit Cardiff Bay via the lock gates.
