Calling all Boys fans, you'd better strap in as The Boys season 5 is only going to get more shocking as Homelander star Antony Starr warns the worst is yet to come from his evil Supe.
Whilst on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Starr started going through his Supe's most shocking moments, starting with the first time we saw how truly evil the so-called hero is. In The Boys season 1 episode 1, Homelander is sent to kill the Mayor of Baltimore, who was threatening to expose the existence of Compound V. However, Homelander chose to kill the figure while he was flying in his private jet alongside his young son.
"He looks out the window, and he's like, 'oh, Homelander,' and he waves, and I'm like, 'hi kid,' and then laser the plane in half and down they go," said Starr. "So that was the beginning, and it was a great introduction to what the character's gonna be like. So I think starting with killing a kid is pretty good."
However, that's nothing compared to what's in store in the superhero satire's final season. "Here's a little tease 'cause the last season is on now," added Starr. "The worst thing I have done is yet to come, and I can't wait. If you think killing children is bad. Just wait."
The Boys showrunner Eric Kripke and pretty much the whole cast have teased at one point or another just how violent the series final outing will be. One thing is for sure, no one is safe from the chopping block this season. In The Boys season 5 episode 1, beloved Supe A-Train had his neck snapped by Homelander after a tense chase scene, and Soldier Boy almost bit the bullet in episode 2.
However, it seems as though Homelander, who Starr describes as Superman if "he hit a meth pipe and didn't stop hitting it," will lose his cool again in episode 3. The show recently shared the episode 3 trailer on Twitter, which includes the highly anticipated scene we first saw in The Boys season 5 trailer, where Homelander is pummeling an unlucky victim. The question is, who is on the receiving end of his wrath?
