Erling Haaland scored on his Premier League debut to give Manchester City a first-half lead against West Ham.
City's £51m summer signing received criticism for his performance in the Community Shield last weekend, but he silenced his critics midway through the first half of City's first game of the season.
The 22-year-old lost his marker with a neat swivel before latching on to an Ilkay Gundogan through ball. Haaland took a touch to take the ball around Alphonse Areola but was felled by the goalkeeper's outstretched arm.
The striker immediately picked himself up and dusted himself down, grabbing the ball and heading to the spot.
