A Newcastle bar and restaurant will delight diners this Shrove Tuesday when it serves up its popular hanging pancake kebab with a meaty twist.
The Botanist in Newcastle city centre has brought back its "signature sell-out special" that sees miniature pancakes hung from skewers and stacked with a choice of three toppings. And for the first time, the chain is offering a savoury option with customers able to choose to stack their kebab with meat.
For £16.50, diners can tuck into The All American pancake kebab which comes stacked with fried chicken and maple bacon and served with mini hash browns and sriracha mayo. For those with a sweet tooth, customers can select The Rocky Road with Biscoff and Oreo rocky road pieces, served with strawberries, chocolate sauce and vanilla ice cream, priced at £9.25.
