The booming Tottenham speech Ange used to win stars over revealed as Spurs boss leans on trusty Celtic template

Galvanising Ange Postecoglou instantly won over his Tottenham players with a call to arms aimed at rejuvenating his new charges.

The 57-year-old has turned heads and opened minds at Spurs with his forensic approach to training and a positive mindset after the turmoil Antonio Conte left in his wake. Postecoglou has implemented a crystal clear approach which gives his side structure while removing the uncertainty, which was a gripe of the first team squad during the Italian's tenure before Ryan Mason took interim charge.

And Postecoglou is aiming to keep the good vibes rolling as the club's international stars near a return ahead of their tour of Australia under the Treble-winning former Celtic manager. And his initial address to his squad has left a telling impression within N17 as Tottenham eye a comeback in the wake of an ill-fated season. Football London's Alasdair Gold - speaking on his Youtube channel – "He has made a really quick, positive impression with everyone, players, staff. He is a very strong communicator is one of the the things I keep getting told. We kind of knew that before but hearing it take place at Tottenham is a big thing.

"He leaves you with no doubt what is expected of you. Whether you are a coach or a player, young or old, or a member of staff in the background. He lets you know very clearly what he wants and what he expects. Then it is down to you to deliver that. He likes to go into new clubs and tell a story to get his way across to his new players. That sounds very much what he did at a group meeting when he came in. That sounds like the way he presented it. He told a story of what they are going to become, and what he wants from them and how they can achieve it.

"I think the thing he often says is 'Nobody ever created anything new without coming against resistance and difficulties, and people not believing they could do it. But that is how you become something special by overcoming those sort of things'. I think it is the same speech he does at each club and I pretty much get the impression that's what he did again at Spurs.

"Everyone, everyone in and around the players, those players have come away thinking 'Oh, yeah, absolutely, I'm ready to get to work for this guy."
