Just like clockwork, it seems as though The Block 2026 contestants have fallen out a few weeks before the all-important auction is set to take place.
While the cast looked like one happy family before the show started airing on TV last month, it’s not unusual for the teams to turn on one another or skip public-facing events once they’ve watched their “edit” and what their co-stars said about them in their piece-to-camera interviews.
This appeared to be the case at the 2027 Nine Upfront in Sydney last week, where one team was notably absent. Adam and Jolene, Lisa and Rosco, Courtney and Sev, and Rick and Tayla all showed up to the event and posed on the photo wall with Scott Cam, Shelley Craft and Shaynna Blaze, while controversial couple Chantel and Wyatt were nowhere to be seen.
What’s going on with The Block 2026 cast?
Adam and Jolene tried to play things off when PEDESTRIAN.TV asked about the cast relationships and they insisted that the group chat was still going strong.
“We’re always sending each other everything, talking to everyone every day,” Adam shared, while Jolene said conversations were “very family-orientated”.
“No one else knows the bubble like we do,” she added. “So I think being able to lean in and send each other a message when you’re having a bad day or if you go, ‘Oh, that was funny’, good or bad, I think it’s still very positive.”
Rosco and Lisa were much more forthcoming about the group dynamic, however, and made it very clear that there’s a fracture. While Rosco began to share that the cast is “really good” and “everyone’s tolerating each other”, Lisa laughed and shook her head.
“Most of the houses are talking,” Rosco told P.TV, to which Lisa added, “Most of the houses are friendly”.
“Four out of five houses are talking,” Rosco continued, seemingly referring to the missing couple. “Well, four out of five houses are talking in the group chat.”
Although House Two weren’t in attendance at the event, Chantel made her feelings about her co-stars clear when she commented on P.TV’s Instagram post: “Love House 4 & 5” — referring to Courtney and Sev, and Rick and Tayla.

How do The Block 2026 cast feel about their ‘edit’?
While The Block viewers are constantly debating which team has received a “bad edit” on the reality show, Lisa told P.TV that she believes everyone’s portrayal has been “accurate” so far.
“I guess sometimes there’s context missing, but overall everyone’s edit we feel is quite accurate,” she said. “Like we come across a bit like clueless at times, I’m a bit quirky at times. I don’t love that, but it’s true. So you take the good with the bad, and it’s pretty fair.”
Rosco also asserted that “nothing is scripted on The Block”, and people shouldn’t complain about what’s aired on TV when it’s something they said.
“Nothing’s scripted on The Block,” Rosco added. “You get backed into a corner, and sometimes the only way out is to fight your way out of that, and that can come across in all different sorts of ways, I guess.”
There are now just over five weeks left until The Block 2026 houses go up for auction, which means the team have just over a month to patch things up. If not, viewers might be in for one of the most awkward final episodes they’ve ever seen
The Block airs Sunday at 7pm and Monday to Wednesday at 7:30 pm on Channel 9.
