After a jaw-dropping episode of The Block last night, you’d be well within your rights to think that Kylie and Brad Baker have called it quits for good. To be fair, he did flirt with Mimi Belperio, saying he’d subscribe to her OnlyFans, and admitted that he’d “destroyed” his family.
But co-stars Courtney McInnes and Grant Freeman have dismissed this, saying that the married parents of four are actually still together. Plus they’re on speaking terms with Mimi and her husband Kristian Belperio. My mind is blown!
“They’re very much still together. We saw them a couple of weeks ago for an event,” Courtney said on HIT WA’s Allan & Carly. “I’m not as close with Kylie… [but] we’re all still friends and yeah, they’re still together.”
She added that Mimi and Kylie definitely cleared the air after the whole flirting scandal went down, so everything seems to be all good… for now. Who knows, Kylie’s tune might change after seeing everything play out on screen!
“[Mimi and Kylie] definitely talked after. I wouldn’t say they are really close right now, but they’ve spoken. Everything’s fine,” Courtney said.
“So I don’t know if this is going to resurface things. Who knows, but weeks ago they were all talking.”
The couple said they were “shocked” while watching the affair drama play out on screen, with Grant saying it felt like a completely different reality TV show. This is meant to be The Block, not MAFS!
According to Courtney, the couple don’t have much juicy intel about what *really* went down between Brad and Mimi, but we should find out more during tonight’s episode.
“We had no idea what was happening at the time. I feel like more will come out tonight. I don’t really know what to say,” Courtney revealed.
“I have spoken to everyone since and, you know, Mimi and Kristian are in a good place. Kylie and Brad I’ve heard are also in a good place. I feel like this all happened six months ago for us.”
Grant also told the radio hosts that he sympathised with Kylie, and understood why she left the show after overhearing Brad’s OnlyFans comment.
“I don’t blame her for reacting the way she did. It’s as simple as that. Nobody’s going to want to hear that. It’s pretty crazy,” Grant said.
Courtney agreed, saying that Kylie is a “very honest person” and you always “know where you stand with her”.
The group will be reuniting for the first time in months at the house auction on November 9, so it’ll be interesting to see if there’s any frostiness between Mimi and Kylie. This has to be one of the spiciest storylines on The Block in yonks!!!
