First they quit The Block, and now Paige Beechey and Jesse Maguire have said goodbye to their wedding plans for 2024. The controversial couple had planned to get hitched in December this year, but have since called it off.
The Block ‘villains’ were under an immense amount of pressure on the show, with their relationship seemingly taking a hit. At one point, Paige declared that “there was no us”, before producers intervened and helped coordinate their exit from the show.
Despite the pair’s relationship seemingly going strong after their stint on The Block — they had a hot Euro summer — Paige and Jesse sent out a note to wedding guests explaining their decision to postpone their wedding.
“Dearest friends and beloved family… life, in its unpredictable course, has presented us with unforeseen circumstances that have led us to the decision to postpone our upcoming wedding on 12 December 2024,” the message said, as reported by Yahoo! Lifestyle.
“Whilst we were eagerly looking forward to celebrating our love and commitment with you all; we believe it is essential to acknowledge when a moment is not right, and this year, it is not.
“We extend our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience or disappointment this news may bring. Your understanding and support mean the world to us.”
An insider also told the publication that their decision to postpone their wedding was made before the show started airing in August.
“They haven’t told anyone from The Block about their relationship update and their co-stars have no idea,” the source claimed.
When PEDESTRIAN.TV chatted to Paige back in August, the pair seemed to be in a really good place.
“Life has been very peaceful since we left The Block,” Paige told us. “We went back to our home, our dog Barkley and the beautiful city fo Perth. We spend most days being active and having a laugh.
“We also managed to visit Cyprus to spend quality time with our best friends, which was a real highlight.”
