A "luxurious" and "blissfully remote" lochside retreat is available to rent for those looking for some peace and quiet in the Scottish countryside. The Sheiling at Loch Lundie offers an "unforgettable luxury holiday experience with complete peace and seclusion".
According to its website, The Sheiling is "a five-star property in a five-star location". It is close to the picturesque village of Plockton in the Highlands, which is home to a number of independent shops, galleries, and gardens.
Winner of Britain’s Best Holiday Let and Best View 2021, the unique circular property "sits on the edge of its own loch". To take advantage of the one-of-a-kind view, it features a wraparound deck that you can imagine spending hours on, taking in the tranquil scenery.

The deck features not only comfortable seating, but even a sunken hot tub and a private pier to while away the hours no matter what the season. Guests even have access to a small rowing boat, which can be used either for trout fishing or for just lazing on the loch.
Moving inside, The Sheiling contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms, and sleeps four people. With winter around the corner, it's the perfect spot to hide away from the world in.
The open-plan living space includes a living area and a dining area. It comes with an electric fire and a 49-inch television.
Meanwhile, the kitchen area is fully fitted with an electric oven, an electric hob, a microwave, a fridge/freezer, a dishwasher, and a washer/dryer.
The first of the two bedrooms is an en-suite, with a bath, shower cubicle, and toilet. It also features a king-size bed.
The second bedroom includes zip and link twin beds, though it can be converted into one king-size bed on request. It is also an en-suite, featuring a shower cubicle and toilet.
